On July 24, 2015--following oral argument in the matter on July 20, 2015--the New Mexico Supreme Court quashed its prior order granting certiorari in Rayos v. State, allowing the New Mexico Court of Appeals' opinion in that matter (2014-NMCA-103) to stand. Mark Standridge argued on behalf of the Defendants/Respondents at the July 20th oral argument.
Mark D. Jarmie has been named as a 2015 Super Lawyer in the practice of Civil Litigation Defense.
In Sioux Pharm, Inc. v. Summit Nutritionals Int'l, Inc., 859 N.W.2d 182, 192 (Iowa 2015), the Supreme Court of Iowa quoted from Mark Standridge's 2005 New Mexico Law Review Article, "Passive Voice: The Unclear Standards for Establishing Personal Jurisdiction in New Mexico via the World Wide," in support of its decision finding that a Defendant's statements on its website did not support the exercise of general personal jurisdiction in a civil lawsuit.
Mark Standridge will serve as the new chair of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association Amicus Committee. NMDLA also published an article written by Mark regarding federal removal and remand issues arising out of written contracts.
